BERMUN Press (BEARMUN)
What’s going on in all the committees? Has the ICJ been debating until 8 p.m. again? And what does the honourable Secretary General have to say to that? Throughout the BERMUN conference, the news publication BERMUN News seeks to provide answers to these questions – and much more. It is our aim to inform, integrate and entertain delegates from all over the world for the duration of the conference. To this end we publish a Friday and a Saturday issue. Contents range from committee reports to delegate interviews to recommendations for brunch places and Berlin night life.
A diverse group of readers requires a press staff of equal diversity to cater to its needs. With this in mind, the BERMUN team of organizers sent out press applications for students from outside JFKS for the first time ever last year (2003). In collaboration with these enthusiastic colleagues the news staff reached a new standard on which we hope to build this year.
I welcome you to contribute to this unique spirit.

The BERMUN News staff comprises about 15 students. Two to four students are responsible for editing and layout, while the others report on the committees and other goings-on at the conference. Usually, two BERMUN News reporters will be assigned to each committee. However, reporters are also encouraged to look for news coverage opportunities outside the committee rooms. Examples of such coverage include interviews, opinion polls, and creative commentary.
What would you like to read about in BERMUN News? What was missing in last year’s issues? Feel free to send all your questions, suggestions, comments and criticism to press@bermun.org.
